I haven’t been running much. I am now getting back running after the London marathon. The marathon is a tough distance my quad seized up at mile 25 and since then I have lost my running mojo. In the month since London I only ran 3 times. While I have not been running I have been thinking of my running and this blog I have realised that I need to set my self smaller goals and also aim for shorter distances. I will be aiming for mainly 5k & 10k distance races for the rest of this year.
Since London
After finishing London I felt very weak and needed a soft drink to help raise my blood sugars. After feeling so weak It took a while for me to gain the confidence to get back running. This was not helped by my training partner having a months long rest to over come injuries that had plagued her throughout marathon training. Being used to always having someone with me when training makes it very difficult to get out the door by my self after work I defiantly need a kick up the bum to get out the door most days.

Getting Back Running
I have managed to run a bit more recently. Currently I do have pain in my knee which is being looked into tonight by a physio. Hopefully I will be getting back running. I have decided against running the Kent Roadrunner Marathon and instead will focus on running the Harvel 5 which was our first ever race last year.
